Dressage / Show Jumping Training Day – 22 January

Dressage tests available:
- Prep 1 & 3
- Preliminary 1A & 1C
- Novice 2A & 2C
- Elementary 3A
Show Jumping:
50 cm to 125 cm
Rules:
1. Events held under EA & FEI rules and Watagan Equestrian Club
2. To help with the running of the Training day it is expected that all competitors will be able to assist or provide a helper.
3. Horses may compete in two consecutive levels only.
4. Callers are permitted.
5. All riders ride at their own risk as per disclaimer.
6. To claim membership entry fee, rider must be WEC member.
7. No dogs allowed in the arena area. All dogs must be on a leash at all times.

Dressage Training Day – 27 May

Dressage test Draw available now.
As this is a training day, riding jackets and plaiting are not required. However, all other riding equipment must comply with Equestrian Australia rules, which includes wearing riding gloves.
Rules:
1. Events held under EA & FEI rules and Watagan Equestrian Club

Dressage dress code for a training day:
Appropriate approved equipment for both horse and rider must be worn at all times when either mounted or handling a horse. A ‘training day’ is practice for the real competitions, so general EA rules still apply. This includes approved bridles, saddles, helmets, boots and gloves.
For training days riders do not need to wear jackets but must wear a collared shirt such as a polo shirt. No singlets or sleeveless tops. Jodhpurs and saddle cloths should be white or beige. Plaiting is optional.

Insurance Update

Day insurance is no longer available for training days or competitions.
To participate in a Watagan Equestrian Club event, you must be a WEC or EA member.

Editor’s Report December 2011

The President would like to thank all members, non-members, helpers, Jeremy Inglis and committee members that assisted in our October 2011 training day being such a success. We haven’t had a great 2011, with bad weather conditions falling on our scheduled training day dates, but we are thankful that our members are sticking with us. 2012 is going to be a great for the club, with an influx of new members.
